Support in Classic
Support here has no income of its own. There is no support item that converts a minion into gold for you, only the old gold-generating items that pay you a trickle for being alive, and everything you buy after them comes out of that trickle.
Wards cost gold and a slot. That is the job: deciding which of your six slots is vision this back, and which fight the team is allowed to take because of it. The guides below show the starting items that pay for that and the point where a support can finally afford to build something for itself.
